Bio: I love video games! I played since I was a wee one, usually with my sister and cousins, games like Freddy the Fish, Spyro the Dragon, Quake, and Unreal Tournament. My parents, excited by the technology of tomorrow, always encouraged our gaming habits (my mom was addicted to the arcade in her day, she understands the obsession).
In my teens I stopped playing games for five or six years. It was a dreary time. But in September of 2011 I saw on a forum that Steam was giving away Portal for free. What is Steam, I wondered- but I had heard of Portal and I didn’t hesitate to get it. It successfully breathed the gaming life back into me and I’m an addict again.
My blog is called Mack vs Shoulder Buttons because for the longest time I only played games like Spyro and the Jak series that never needed shoulder buttons in gameplay. When I picked up Heavy Rain and Dead Space I was floundering for a while and I’m still a little stiff at them.
I am always up for game recommendations! If you have any suggestions please send them my way. If you want suggestions I’ll go my best to accommodate you, but remember I’m a casual gamer and I’m pretty bad at keeping up with the industry.
